Treats!
 
Occassionally a batch of homemade treats may come out of the oven!  Sometimes for horses, sometimes for dogs, we just never know!  We love to share so if you want some when we visit let us know.  Or check here to make your own.
Holiday Horse Treats

 

2 cups wheat flour

1 cup flaxseed meal

1 cup oats

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon himalayan salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

3/4 cup molasses (I used organic)

1/2 cup red vinegar (I used one with the mother)

1/3 cup canola oil

9oz crushed Candy Canes

 

Mix dry ingredients then add wet and finally candy cane bits. Fill mini-muffin tins and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Optional garnish while warm with mints. Yields 60 mini-muffins.

 

Serve according to your horses diet. 

Peanut Butter Dog Treats

 

2 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup Natural Peanut Butter
1 Cup Water
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
1 egg
1 teaspoon flaxseed meal

Roll on parchment paper and cut out w/favorite cookie cutters.
Bake in preheated 350 oven for 20 minutes. Cool and serve.

Pumpkin Treats for Horses and Dogs

 

3 cups wheat flour
2 cups pure'ed pumpkin
1 cup flaxseed meal
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Mix dry then add wet ingredients, roll and cut with favorite cookie cutter or drop on cookie sheet
Bake in 325 preheated oven for 15 minutes
Allow to cool, if you like brush w/more pumpkin or another topping
Know what your pet can tolerate in their diet and feed accordingly.
